Washington Small Business Health Insurance
The reawakening of Mount St. Helens in 1980 not only heralded a new wave of respect for the strength and perseverance of nature, it brought on a new age of business growth for the state of Washington. Small businesses have been striving ever since to add their reputation to that of their home state. One way the small business owner has of competing with larger companies is to attract and keep quality employees.
In today’s age health awareness, that means providing health insurance. Employers put in $3,135 million dollars in contributions in 2003, but there is still a lot more to do, as only 45.9% of small businesses offer health insurance. Fortunately, insurance carriers in Washington are working hard to provide the small business owner access to group plans that are affordable and comprehensive, in accordance with the state's insurance regulations.
