Horizon BlueCross BlueShield of New Jersey offers this consumer-driven product to give members optimum control over the spending and general direction of their healthcare. The combination of a high-deductible PPO with a Health Savings Account (HSA) offers a tax-exempt savings environment with low monthly costs that enables members to save for future expenditures. Plus, unused funds roll over from year to year, so member investment is never lost.

BCBSNJ MSA Companion/High Deductible Plan:
Similar to the Horizon MyWay HSA option, this product places a high priority on the active role of the plan member in directing his own care. This is essentially a PPO plan, with the option of a Medical Savings Account (MSA) to help the member accrue funds for non-covered services. Employees choose from four deductible structures, and can elect whether or not to also take part in an MSA. Where the MyWay plan requires an HSA, this plan simply includes it as an electable option.

Horizon's Preferred Provider Organization Option offers your employees the freedom of choice. With more than 24,800 physicians and specialists to choose from, you and your employees can keep everyone's costs low by seeking in-network treatment. You also have the freedom to receive out-of-network treatment, but at a higher out-of-pocket cost. There are a number of options available, with varying levels of deductible and cost sharing.
